What factors cause Appetite Decreased


A news described in detikhealth say that there are several factors one's appetite is reduced.

Food can improve mood and gives energy to move. However, in some circumstances, a person can be reduced appetite which makes dinner. Anything that makes decreased appetite?

For people who are too skinny, appetite is very important to be able to gain weight. Here are some factors that can decrease the appetite, as reported Lifemojo, Monday (03/05/2012):

1. Age

With age, the sense of taste and smell will turn into a less sensitive and this will make people easily lose interest in food.

2. Cancer and AIDS

This is a serious medical condition that can cause decreased appetite and significant weight loss. Even medications prescribed for the disease work to limit the appetite.

3. Indigestion

Stomach problems such as constipation, diarrhea, excessive stomach gas, liver problems, Crohn's disease, all can decrease one's appetite.

4. Stress

Stress is often associated with overeating, but the fact remains that many people do not appetite because under stress. Stress lowers the desire and interest of people towards food. Mood disorders and depression is also associated with a low appetite.

5. Eating disorders

Some people deliberately reduce the appetite to lose weight or look thin. Low appetite often associated with eating disorders such as aneroxia nervosa, a condition in which a person's self-image forming one, want to look thin by eating less and exercising more.

6. Fever

Tongue lose flavor when body condition are fever and hence the person can lose interest in food.

7. Drugs

Certain medications such as digoxin, fluoxetine, hydralazine and quinidine can suppress appetite in a person.
